Some of our seventh grade students are currently on a multiple day field trip to a benadictine monastery in Germany. They have been touring the grounds, seeing how the monks live and even participated in an event where they were a “monk for a day.” The children are finding out quickly the amount of scheduled prayer times that there are per day, including lauds which begins at 6 in the morning! The trip continues today with a beautiful excursion into the local forests surrounding the monastery.
